This is a 1-day course intended for newer Engineering Techs, concentrating on underground design.
The content of the course session will include, but not limited to:

o Corrosion of equipment
o Drainage of vaults/ducts
CSA considerations
Subdivision / commercial designs

Municipal requirements (easements, excavating in the vicinity)
Transformer loading/sizing
Conductor sizing (amperage and voltage drop)
Reliability vs cost considerations in design
Cable testing, different methods of testing
High voltage acceptance testing (cables, transformers etc) (NETA Standards)
