USF offers a variety of training courses geared to the electricity distribution industry. Available courses are listed below and non-Members of USF can register quickly and easily, paying via credit card.

This 1.5-day online course will include a high level review of the design requirements for a complete and quality Permit Application, from Permit Application through to Construction Verification. This course is intended for those on the engineering team, including Engineering Technicians or Engineering Technologists and Professional Engineers who are either completing the permit application and work plan, drafting the design for the communications company, or reviewing the permit application and work plans on behalf of the utility.
 
This course does not cover overhead or underground line design, or how to use non-linear software tools.

This 1-day online introductory course is intended for line design staff that have been in their role for up to five years. The purpose of this course is to give the new designer a quick overview of metering, so they are better able to interact with electrical contractors, customers and metering staff.
